Emmerdale spoilers follow from Tuesday’s episode (November 5), which is available to watch now on streaming service ITVX but hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.
Emmerdale villain Tom King showed his true colours once again in Tuesday’s episode, shocking his new girlfriend Amelia Spencer with an abusive outburst.
The schemer has spent the past few weeks manipulating Amelia into taking his side following his estranged wife Belle Dingle’s domestic violence allegations against him.
In Tuesday’s episode, there were signs that Amelia’s stance could start to change as she saw a frightening glimpse of Tom’s terrible temper.
Tensions flared up as Tom attended the village’s annual November 5 bonfire event, despite initially promising that he’d stay away.

Tom was stunned to realise that the ‘Guy’ being thrown on the bonfire had been deliberately created to share his likeness.
As Tom demanded an explanation for who was responsible, the Dingles taunted him by each claiming to be the prankster in question.
With the tables turning on him, Tom felt intimidated by the family’s strong defence of Belle – with all of them still frustrated at the lack of criminal charges against her abuser.
Before long, Tom turned back to his old ways as he ranted at Amelia and wrongly accused her of forcing him into attending the village gathering.

Amelia protested: “I thought you said you weren’t going to get intimidated and I just wanted to support you because you said you wanted to front it out.”
In a cruel outburst, Tom replied: “This was you. Meddling, making things worse, and look at you. Chasing after me like some stray dog, do you know how pathetic you look?”
Devastated by Tom’s words, Amelia rushed off in tears – but will this be the end of their relationship?

Last week, Daisy Campbell – who plays Amelia – confirmed that she has left Emmerdale after 13 years in the role. Amelia’s upcoming departure will tie in with the ongoing Tom storyline, but the door will be left open for a possible return.
Daisy told The Mirror: “Once they explained, I totally got it. Amelia isn’t part of the Dingles, her dad has left, [her child’s father] Samson has gone now and she doesn’t have any family.
“There is nowhere to take Amelia and I understand that. I feel incredibly lucky to have been in the soap for 13 years and to have been handed so many opportunities at such a young age.”
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
