Emmerdale horror as Belle Dingle ‘kidnapped’ by Tom in latest sinister twist

Must read

It looks as though there’s trouble on the way for Emmerdale’s Belle Dingle (Played by Eden Taylor-Draper). Over the past few months, ITV viewers have witnessed her evil husband, Tom King’s (James Chase), behaviour towards her grow worse.

However, official spoilers for the ITV soap reveal some people in the village are starting to get concerned over Belle’s behaviour, suspecting something is wrong. In scenes set to air next week, the Dingle girls, Charity (Emma Atkins), Chas (Lucy Pargeter), Mandy (Lisa Riley) and Lydia (Karen Blick) start to question Belle’s relationship.

As Belle starts to panic, Charity urges her to open up and explain what’s really going on with her and Tom. Although Belle is angered by their incessant questioning and storms out.

When Charity finds Belle outside the Woolpack, clearly upset by something, she kindly asks her to open up. Starting to tear up, Belle is close to telling Charity everything but shoves her away and flees home in a panic after spotting Tom.

Despite Tom trying to brush off Charity’s concerns, by insisting his wife is struggling with her mental health, Charity doesn’t believe him. As the other women worry that Charity has overreacted, she frustratedly leaves the room, worried she’s missed the chance to convince them that something’s wrong.

Realising people are starting to catch on that something is wrong with Belle, Tom’s face turns cold when he returns home and makes a plan. Making a phone call, he confirms that he wants to interview for a job in Wales, away from Belle’s friends and family.

Later on, Charity tries to make amends with Belle, but she’s unimpressed. Meanwhile, Tom is having an online interview with someone, who reminds him that the job he’s applying for is in a very remote part of Wales.

Telling the interviewer that his wife would be delighted to move so far away, his plan to isolate Belle completely is in motion.

When she returns, Tom offers to take her on holiday, keen to take Belle to a remote cottage.

As Belle starts to warm to the idea of a romantic getaway, unaware of his true intentions, he’s secretly pleased his plan is taking shape.

Is she in danger of her husband taking her away from the village forever without her family knowing her true whereabouts?

Speaking to Express.co.uk, actor James Chase teased Tom’s evil reign of terror won’t last forever, hinting there’s justice on the way for Belle.

When questioned on whether or not Tom will have to leave the soap, he replied: “I think, yes, it has to happen because it’s what he deserves, like he can’t get away with it. You know what I mean? Like, I don’t know to what extent that would be as to how the character would, you know, how the storyline would end with Tom?

“But yeah, I think I would think that it would have to be something like that. Yeah, because [Belle] needs justice for what’s happened to her.”

Emmerdale continues weekdays on ITV from 7:30pm
