Emergency incident as Manchester Piccadilly issue travel warning

Travellers are being warned of a morning of disruption with no trains running between Manchester and London. An ’emergency incident’ is affecting services between the two major cities this morning (June 5).

Details about the nature of the incident are yet to be confirmed. However, it means there are no services running between Piccadilly station and London Euston at the moment.




A post on X from Manchester Piccadilly says: “Travel Warning. Due to an emergency incident there are no mainline services between #Piccadilly and #Euston this morning.

‘Lines closed’

Passengers are being told that railway lines are ‘closed’ heading between Manchester and London due to the ongoing incident.

No services to London

An emergency incident is affecting rail passengers between Manchester and London this morning.

Manchester Piccadilly says there are no services running to and from London Euston currently because of the incident.

National Rail says emergency services are at the scene of an incident in the Watford area, north of London.

Disruption is expected until at least 9am.
