Eight players could miss Manchester United vs Man City FA Cup final

Must read

The wait for the FA Cup final is nearly over as Manchester gets ready to descend on Wembley Stadium for a repeat of last year.

Manchester City were victorious when they met Manchester United in the end-of-season showpiece last June. Former Blues captain Ilkay Gundogan got his team off to the best possible start with a stunning strike past David de Gea.

However, the two teams went into the break level after Bruno Fernandes converted from the penalty spot. Six minutes after the restart, Gundogan popped up again to ultimately win the match for his team.

Manchester United injury news

Three players look almost certain to miss out on the FA Cup final this Saturday for United. Tyrell Malacia has been injured for the entirety of the season and was not spotted in training on Wednesday.

Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire were both called up to the provisional England squad this week but were also missing as they aim to recover from muscular injuries in time for the European Championships. Maguire admitted yesterday that he is ‘touch and go’ to be fit for the showpiece.
