EDWIN has collaborated with Copenhagen eyewear brand MessyWeekend on an exclusive capsule for Spring/Summer 2024. Available now, in the midst of a shining heatwave, the collection presents three distinct MessyWeekend styles reinterpreted in eight new colourways from EDWIN’s progressive design aesthetic.

Described by the EDWIN team as “timeless” and “experimental”, the collaboration showcases the design capabilities of both brands, each showcasing their own spin on modern luxury from Japan and Copenhagen.

The first of the three styles reinterpreted for this capsule is MessyWeekend’s New Dylan silhouette, a refined rectangular frame unveiled in black, tortoiseshell and solid purple, each with its own corresponding coloured lens; next up is the Sean Frame, available in Crystal Smoked Brown with blue lenses, alongside two tortoiseshell versions; and finally the most daring of the collection, the Grace silhouette, a rectangular style with orange and red lenses.

Each piece in the collection features a handcrafted acetate frame, quality anti-scratch and anti-fog lenses, 100% UVA+UVB protection, nickel-free hinges, and a logo in discreet Gothic Katakana branding.

Founded in 2018, MessWeekend has built a dedicated following over six years, offering contemporary luxury to younger audiences who look for more exciting designs that retain elegance and sustainable designs at an accessible price point. A proactive and conscious brand, MessyWeekend provides a lifetime guarantee with each purchase, delivered in recycled packaging and all as part of its Clean Oceans program that works to clear plastic pollution in the ocean. As of this year, MessyWeekend reports that 260 tonnes of plastic has been collected from the brand’s efforts alone.

The capsule is available now in EDWIN stores, at edwin-europe.com and messyweekend.co.uk
