An Edinburgh local has been charged after a man was rushed to hospital following reports he was bitten by a dog.
The alleged incident happened on Monday June 3 on St Anthony Street in Leith, near to the popular Newkirkgate Shopping Centre.
A man ended up at Edinburgh’s Royal Infirmary Hospital after emergency services races to the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.40 pm on Monday, 3 June, officers were called to a report of a man bitten by a dog in St Anthony Street, Edinburgh.
“The 42-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.”
They confirmed a 43-year-old man was arrested and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

They said: “A 43-year-old man has been charged in connection with this incident and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
“The dog was removed to kennels.”
