All flights have been grounded at Edinburgh airport because of an IT problem affecting air traffic control. Incoming flights are being diverted.
In a statement released on social media, the airport said that engineers were working to resolve the issue. Passengers due to travel to the airport are advised to check with their airlines first. The IT issue is believed to affect only Edinburgh airport.
A spokesman for the airport said: “An IT issue is impacting all flights in and out of Edinburgh airport. As of 16:15 no flights are arriving or departing. Engineers are working to resolve the issue.
