EBRD begins work on combined Infrastructure Strategy

Must read

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is starting work on a new infrastructure strategy and is inviting the public to contribute.

During the first phase of the process, the Bank is inviting public comment on its current Municipal and Environmental Infrastructure (MEI) and Transport Sector Strategies. The two strategies cover the 2019-24 period and will be superseded by the new combined Infrastructure Strategy. Comments should be submitted in writing to infrastructurestrategy@ebrd.com between 9 October and close of business on 9 December 2023.

This invitation to comment on the existing strategy is part of the pre-drafting phase of the new, combined Infrastructure Strategy, which will guide the Bank’s investments in the municipal and transport infrastructure sectors.

While the Bank will not respond formally to comments at this stage, there will be a public consultation on the draft of the new combined Infrastructure Strategy for the 2025-29 period, fully in line with the EBRD’s Access to Information Directive approved in April 2019. The Bank expects the new draft strategy to be available in the first quarter of 2024.
