The insider told The Sun the sunshine holiday has also left the Northern Irishman’s former partner Ruth Langsford “wowed”.
Holmes and Langsford, who were axed from This Morning in 2020, announced in May that they had broken up after 14 years of marriage, with a spokesperson revealing “they are in the process of divorcing”.
The TV pair, both 64, wed in 2010 after 13 years together and are said to be “determined to stay friends and keep things amicable”.

However, recent months have seen a raft of reports saying GB News presenter Holmes has become close with Ms Alexander, a 42-year-old relationship therapist.
It was rumoured that he had already popped the question after she was spotted wearing a sparkling diamond ring. But Holmes reportedly sent his estranged wife a message to reassure her that he was not engaged.
Two weeks ago Holmes spent his holiday from GB News showing Ms Alexander around Northern Ireland, with the pair spotted in Carrickfergus at American diner Papa Browns.
Speaking about their latest holiday, a source told The Sun: “The cruise is just the latest proof of their closeness.
“Katie has been telling pals she and Eamonn are going to be for keeps — and now everyone is starting to believe her.
“Eamonn’s zest for her — the latest being this all-expenses-paid trip — has wowed Ruth and pals. He has found a new lease of life for sure. Everyone is amazed.”
Previously, sources close to the pair have told newspapers they’ve been offered “big money” for the first official photos of them together.
The source told the Daily Mail: “They’ve been offered some decent money for the first pictures of them together.
“Katie and Eamonn are definitely in it for the long haul. She says she loves him and he loves her.”
Last week Loose Women star Langsford directly addressed fans asking why she was still wearing her wedding ring despite her split with Holmes.
She shared a video on Instagram that saw her describing a recipe for a green smoothie she drinks each day. The TV host could be seen wearing her wedding ring in the clip, with one person asking in the comments section: “Why has she still got her wedding rings on?”
Langsford bluntly replied: “Because I’m still married.”
While Langsford was expected to open up about their separation when she returned to the Loose Women presenting panel in July, she is yet to comment on the matter.
Holmes and Langsford had been together for 27 years, but had been living “separate lives” for two years before announcing their divorce.
The pair hosted This Morning together from 2006 until 2021, when they were replaced by Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond.
They have one son, Jack, who was born in 2002.
Sources claim that Eamonn’s health struggles and chronic back pain played a large part in the breakdown of their relationship, as Ruth felt more like a “carer”.
