We have always been obsessed with Dua Lipa’s style since waaaay back when but, we have to say, her latest fashion era is our fave so far!
The music icon has teamed up with Rihanna’s stylist Jahleel Weaver to curate a wardrobe that is replete with lace, leather and rips and, overall, makes Dua look like a dreamy rock queen.
Some of their greatest hits together have included Dua’s 2024 Met Gala look, which saw her go vamp in a see-through lace and feather (!!) look created by none other than Marc Jacobs.
And now they’ve delivered another look for the ages. Sharing a carousel of images to Instagram from her performance at Open’er Festival, Poland on 4 July, the singer can be seen rocking a black skater dress featuring strips of see-through lace, lingerie-style straps and a thigh slit.
What really takes this sexy look to the next level is the string of safety pins zig-zagging their way up the aforementioned thigh slit.
The dress, by Versace, appears to be making a reference to one of the most important pop culture fashion moments – when Elizabeth Hurley rocked a silk and lycra Versace dress emblazoned with several oversized gold safety pins to the Four Weddings and a Funeral premiere at the beginning of her fame.
In the years since, the look has been referenced by none other than Anne Hathaway, who wore a white dress covered in statement safety pins to the 2023 Met Gala.
