Listen up! Dua Lipa has a new stylist. Yep, the pop songstress has started working with none other than Jahleel Weaver aka the fashion force currently behind Rihanna‘s iconic looks.
Seriously, this is big news – made even bigger by the fact that the duo hard-launched their new collaboration at the Met Gala, where Dua hit the red carpet in a deconstructed, see-through lace and feathers gown by Marc Jacobs.
Together, Jahleel and Dua seem to be pushing her vampy, rockstar gf look into new and more esoteric territory. They’ve already sourced quite possibly the tiniest crop top we’ve ever seen plus a pair of Coyote Ugly-worthy lace front, lowslung trousers for Dua’s Saturday Night Live performance.
And now, they’re continuing to keep our jaws dropped firmly on the floor. When the pop diva headed to the Academy of Country Music Awards in Frisco, Texas, she hopped on stage to join country singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton for a surprise performance of his song “Think I’m In Love With You”.
Naturally, her fit was fire! The musician rocked a gown by Atelier Versace from their Fall 2001 Couture collection. The black and navy snake print gown featured an asymmetrical neckline and swept the floor. Made from a see-through lace featuring various cutouts, the outfit was a total rockstar look.
And the evening’s slay marathon didn’t stop there, during the awards show – when she wasn’t on stage – Dua wore a different look. The ensemble comprised of a 2003 Saint Laurent beaded top and a 1995 John Galliano maxi skirt.
Dua’s never looked better!
