SINGER Dua Lipa has revealed her heart break after being forced to cancel her tour last minute.
The star took to social media to reveal the news, after being due to perform in Jakarta on Saturday 9 November.
One Kiss singer Dua penned to her legion of fans: “I am heartbroken to share that I won’t be able to perform in Jakarta this Saturday, November 9.
“I am there in your amazing country and ready to perform, but I am gutted to share that it has been determined that it is not safe for the performance to carry on due to safety issues with the staging.”
“I was so looking forward to this night, and it truly pains me that we cannot perform for you all, especially after such a long time since my last performance in Jakarta.
“Refunds will be made from your point of purchase. I love you all and truly can’t wait to be back together in the same room with you singing and dancing our hearts out as soon as possible.”
Dua has treated fans to a bumper year with her third album Radical Optimism and an epic headline set at Glastonbury so far.
But Dua Lipa isn’t quite done with 2024 just yet.
Dua will be releasing a record in just a few weeks and it was recorded at her one-off Royal Albert Hall gig in London last month.
The special show saw Dua belt out her biggest hits, flanked by the 53-piece Heritage Orchestra, a 14-strong choir and her own seven-piece band.
During the gig she was joined by music legend Elton John for a performance of their 2021 hit single Cold Heart.
The concert will air later this year as an ITV special called An Evening With Dua Lipa.
However, unlike the channel’s other An Audience With shows, such as Adele and Kylie’s, Dua is not expected to take questions from the crowd.
Instead the programme will follow a concert film format.
A source said: “Dua wanted to give something back to her fans after an amazing year.
“She’s dabbled with live releases before, such as with her Brit Awards performance but this is the first time she will release a full live album.
“It’s expected to be announced in the coming weeks.”
