DUA LIPA revealed that her years of following her dreams finally paid off when she stepped on the Pyramid Stage for her Friday headline slot.
She told the 100,000-strong crowd: “I’ve written this moment down and wished for it and dreamt of it and worked so hard.”
But it seems that, despite a dynamic set of flawless choreography, three sharp outfit changes and hits spanning nearly a decade, Dua could not please everyone.
The pop star was accused by people watching at home of miming her hits — which included Be The One and Houdini.
One posted on X: “Can you believe anyone headlining Glastonbury would lip-sync the whole show? Shocking!”
But I can reveal that Dua had purely suffered some bad luck due to a sound delay as part of the BBC’s broadcast of the coverage on some services.
A well-placed source tells me: “Dua’s vocals were 100 per cent live.
“She had worked for years to that moment and would never dream of miming to her fans.”
Dua was clearly on a high from her stunning show — which included an appearance from Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker for their hit The Less I Know The Better.
After her set, my spies saw her partying until 4am at one of Glasto’s notoriously debauched nightspots — NYC Downlow.
Letting her flame-red hair down, Dua was seen snogging Hollywood boyfriend Callum Turner, necking Belvedere vodka and chain-smoking into the early hours.
The pair were also spotted all loved up again yesterday afternoon.
One onlooker said: “Dua and Callum couldn’t keep their hands off each other. He’s her biggest cheerleader and wanted Dua to have the time of her life after her headline slot.”
I can only hope that Dua treated herself to one of Worthy Farm’s famous cheese toasties to ease her sore head yesterday.
