How would you like to live and work in the area often hailed as the ‘UK’s own Caribbean’ and potentially earn more than £110,000 for doing so?

Well, if you’re in the right industry and have all of the necessary qualifications, then this could be the job for you. A ‘once-in-a-career’ job opportunity is currently being advertised and it’s based in the gorgeous Isles of Scilly.

These five islands have been named amongst one of the best places to live in the whole of the UK thanks to their white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and lush green landscapes. And you could earn up to £110,250 per year by living there and taking on a new role – albeit a very challenging one.

Totaljobs is currently advertising for a salaried GP role covering all five of the islands, providing care to the 2,500 inhabitants. Along with your colleagues, which will include a full-time GP partner, a mental health practitioner and a nursing team, you’ll work eight sessions a week based on the main island.

These will be held at the bespoke, architect-designed and purpose-built health centre on the clifftop overlooking the ocean, with your eight sessions spent rotating around the smaller islands providing your GP service to the residents – and you’ll even be transported to these via the practice’s own boatman.

This job will allow you to ‘really make an impact’ as a GP for these islands, not to mention other impressive perks such as six weeks of annual leave and an NHS pension – and a salary ranging from £98,000 – £110,250 per year.

Of course, you’ll need to already be a GP in order to land this role. So if you fancy applying, you can do it on the TotalJobs website.

The Iscles of Scilly are packed with beautiful beaches, exotic plants and exciting wildlife, and it also boasts the highest average temperatures of anywhere in the UK. St Mary’s is the largest island out of the lot, but it covers an area of just six miles, and has plenty of amenities such as shops, cafes and restaurants.
