SAM Thompson has been seen for the first time since splitting from longterm girlfriend Zara McDermott.
Zara, who shot to fame on Love Island, and Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson have ended their five year relationship after ‘growing apart’.
Sam has been spotted looking downbeat as he returned to his London home, where he and Zara live together.
The former I’m A Celebrity winner wore a yellow jacket, jeans and trainers as he returned to the property.
The news of their split was confirmed by a source close to the couple on New Year’s Day.
They told MailOnline: “Sam and Zara have ended their relationship. It’s been an incredibly difficult decision for them to part ways, they still care and have a lot of love for each other.
“But after a tough year of working hard at their romance, they have split and will be focusing on their individual careers going forward into 2025.
“There has been no scandal or fallout between them, it’s just the result of a difficult year, where they both had to spend a lot of time focused on their own projects.”
Following the split, Sam joined some of his Made In Chelsea pals while enjoying a wild New Year as his ex-girlfriend Zara McDermott stayed in their Chelsea home.
The TV star, 32, was seen in a pub making a toast as Reza Amiri-Garroussi filmed.
Sam and Reza were joined by a group of pals at Kensington Rooftop Gardens, including MIC star JP.
In his speech I’m A Celeb winner Sam told fans it was going to be a “memorable evening”, as he told his reality telly pals how lucky he was to be spending New Year with them.
Reza filmed Sam’s speech as well as showing the reality star downing shots.
Yet whilst Sam was out partying, Zara McDermott stayed in their shared home with her cat and took a photo, writing “Happy New Year.”
In the wake of the break up news, fans called out a host of worrying clues prior to their sad break-up, including the fact they didn’t spend Christmas together.
They also speculated their partnership – which was aired in part on E4 reality series MIC – “never recovered” after Zara’s cheating scandal was aired to the nation.
The BBC Three documentary-maker previously confessed to having a fling with music exec Brahim Fourad while taking part in The X Factor: Celebrity in 2019.
Whilst the couple split in dramatic scenes on Made In Chelsea, they later rekindled their romance and moved in together to the swanky London home.
