Dortmund chief shares Jadon Sancho stance amid United transfer clause truth

Must read

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has admitted he is unsure if the club will re-sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United on a permanent deal. Sancho joined the Bundesliga side on loan until the end of the season in January after falling out of favour under Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.

The 24-year-old returned to his former club and has helped them reach the UEFA Champions League. After being banished from the first-team at United, Sancho has rediscovered the form that convinced United to buy him in 2021.

Starting in 11 out of the 16 Bundesliga games, Sancho has also started in all six Champions League games. However, despite his upturn in form in Germany, his future remains unclear.

It’s currently unclear whether he’ll come back to United with the future of Ten Hag set to play a big part in that decision. There have been claims that Dortmund want to make the temporary move a permanent one but no talks are expected to take place until after tonight’s Champions League final.

Speaking to TNT Sport ahead of the showpiece clash at Wembley, Kuhl revealed the latest on Dortmund’s stance on Sancho. “I don’t know yet, to be honest, because it was great to have him for the last six months,” he said.

“He increased our quality in the team and he’s looking forward to the final. He wants to win and everything else will be decided afterwards.
