DJ Nick Grimshaw’s holiday home raided by masked thieves

Must read

Celebrities including Jenson Button and Richard Hammond claim to have been targeted in such raids.

Police in Ibiza in June arrested four Moroccan members of a gang that allegedly targeted wealthy tourists and carried pepper spray. They used violence and intimidation. Police recovered seven expensive watches, a car and other belongings

And in 2022, a gang of criminals broke into the Ibiza villa in which Friolán, a minor royal – nephew of King Felipe – was staying and they were carrying laughing gas. However, he was not there at the time.

Grimshaw and his guests are said to be in good health and have returned home to the UK.

The Sun reported that Grimshaw, who shot to fame on BBC Radio 1 some 12 years ago, was joined by his immediate family including his mother Eileen and his fiancé Mesh Henry.

A source told The Sun: “There have been a spate of attacks in luxury villas across Ibiza this summer.

“Sadly Nick’s villa was on the target list – simply due it being known for being used by high net worth clients. The gang would have had no idea who he was. Sadly it’s a case of the wrong place at the wrong time but it’s scary to say the least.

“Nick was obviously upset but thought best to keep things off social media. At the end of the day it was meant to be a private low key break with his family.”
