Diddy’s life is ‘in danger’ in famous jail where inmates want to attack him, former warden says

Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs is ‘in danger’ inside his New York jail as the other inmates are more than willing to attack the fallen hip-hop star, the jail’s former warden has said.

The 54-year-old was sent to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on Tuesday after his request for bail was denied – and his presence is not welcome, ex-MDC warden Cameron Lindsay said.

Lindsay told TMZ that some of the more violent inmates would even consider killing Combs a ‘badge of honor.’

Luckily for Combs, he is being kept in the jail’s Special Housing Unit while he waits for his sex trafficking case to go to trial.

But his life at MDC will be far from comfortable.

Every aspect of his life will be monitored, Lindsay explained.

His isolation from the other inmates does not mean he will be getting special treatment. Just like everyone else, Combs will have 6 am wake-ups with just one hour for recreational time per day.

He will be allowed three showers a week with scarce visits from friends and family.

Every day, Combs must clean his cell, make his bed and mop the floor. His meals will consist of a strict 1,800-calorie diet.

The food will not be particularly fresh, as it will be sitting in a warming box for him to eat separately from his fellow inmates.

The shamed rapper previously begged the judge to let him out of jail on Wednesday after his Monday arrest.

In a lame attempt to be released on bail, Combs promised the judge that he would have minimal female visitors at his Miami Beach home amid ‘freak off’ allegations.

He also offered up his and his mother’ homes and a $50 million surety. But his desperate efforts amounted to nothing.

Combs is not MDC’s first celebrity inmate. R. Kelly, Ghislaine Maxwell and Michael Cohen are a few of the high-profile people the jail has seen.

MDC, the only federal jail in New York City, is notorious for its violence, harsh conditions and drug smuggling. In 2021, MDC’s Manhattan facility shutdown.

It has been described as ‘hell on earth’ and has been plagued with murders and suicides ever since it opened in 1994.

Combs’ lawyer discussed the terrors that occur within the jail’s confinement, stating ‘several courts in this District have recognized that the conditions at Metropolitan Detention Center are not fit for pre-trial detention.’

They also said that at least four inmates have died by suicide within the last three years.

‘Just earlier this summer, an inmate was murdered,’ the hip hop mogul’s defense attorneys wrote, according to the The Daily Beast.

The attorneys also alleged that inmates have found cockroaches in their food and mold in the showers.

In 2019, a fire cut power and heat to sections of the jail, forcing inmates to endure extreme conditions.

Deirdre von Dornum, who oversees the Federal Defenders’ Brooklyn team, said inmates covered themselves ‘head to toe in towels and blankets’ in an attempt to warm up.

People protested and rallied in front of MDC while protestors banged on the walls and flashed nightlights to signal for help.

A $10 million class action lawsuit stemming from this incident was settled last year, according to the law firm that represented the clients.

But conditions have not improved.

Combs was denied bail on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. He was arrested after landing in New York City to work with prosecutors.

He denied all claims made against him.

Combs is accused of forcing people to have sex with each other, storing weapons and beating more women aside from ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, vows to appeal the decision to have Combs jailed.

He said: ‘Mr Combs is a fighter – he will fight this until the end. He is innocent. He came to New York to establish his innocence. He is not afraid – he is not afraid of the charges.

‘He has been looking forward to clearing his name and he is going to clear his name. We believe in him whole heartedly. He didn’t do these things.’
