Devon sandwich firm announces plans to create 40 new jobs – South West

A Devon food company has announced plans to create 40 new jobs.

Southwest Sandwich Company is opening a new factory  in Cullompton and is planning to create 40 jobs.

The new 5,000 sq ft purpose-built facility will have the capacity to produce 50,000 items per week.

The wholesale business, which sells its products across the South West and into South Wales, has expanded its footprint following growing demand.

As a result, the company is planning to double its production in 2024.

The business has also launched an expanded menu including a range of food-to-go options such as rolls, subs, flapjacks, salad and fruit pots, pies, pasties, sausage rolls, and quiches.

“We are thrilled to unveil our new factory and introduce an even wider selection of food to go options,” said Rob Pascoe, director.

“With our commitment to quality and convenience, we aim to fully support our customers, whether their requirements are a classic sandwich or trying one of our new offerings.

Southwest Sandwich Company is part of the recently created Southwest Food Group, The company operates its own delivery team and company vehicles, seven days a week.
