Hello and welcome to coverage of Denmark vs Serbia at Euro 2024.
Denmark head coach Kasper Hjulmand insists his team are only focusing on winning in their final group game against the Serbians.
They sit second in Group C with two points and will progress to the round of 16 with a win, but a draw could be enough depending on other results.
However, Hjulmand is only concerned with winning. He said: “We always want to win. We miss being in the locker room singing about how we won, that’s what we want.
“We know a draw might be enough to go through the groups but there’s going to be a lot of different things happen in a game, no matter what happens.
“We play the game wanting to win, we can be pressured and defending but we’re going to look for the opportunities to score.
“Even though it might be very tough we strongly believe we can go out and win the game.”
Serbia have worked to improve on their slow starts against England and Slovenia in their first two matches and will look to pressurise Denmark from the first whistle, their manager Dragan Stojkovic said on Monday.
Despite a solid second-half effort against England, Serbia could not break through in their opening Group C loss and only levelled deep in stoppage time against Slovenia in a match during which they were on the back foot for long periods.
“That is one of the issues we are working on and that is something we want to improve and correct,” Stojkovic told reporters.
“We are not going to give the advantage to the opponents in those (first) 45 minutes.
“Once we grasp the game and we have full control of the ball then things change drastically.”
