Dead By Daylight fans have been treated to an excellent year of licensed collaborations so far, and we are in for another treat with the imminent arrival of CastleVania. The Chapter 33 crossover should come out for all platforms towards the end of the month, but players on PC get to enjoy the public-test build tomorrow. Here is the DBD CastleVania PTB release date and start time countdown along with how to play the Chapter 33 public-test build.

In addition to this upcoming public-test build, don’t forget that Dead By Daylight 2v8 mode is set to end very soon on August 8th. Also make sure to check out the August 2024 roadmap to see all of the upcoming skin collections, and BeHaviour have also recently announced upcoming killer updates and tweaks for between August to November.

While it’s a shame to see 2v8 mode disappear soon, the good news for players on PC is that the DBD CastleVania PTB will become available to play. The release date and start time countdown is nearly over, and players on Steam will be able to become Dracula tomorrow.

Dead By Daylight x CastleVania Chapter 33 PTB release date

The release date for the Dead By Daylight x CastleVania Chapter 33 PTB is August 6th. During the 8th anniversary livestream, it was revealed that this is when we will “learn more” about the previously leaked collab with Konami.

Before the public-test build begins, you can check out the update 8.2.0 PTB patch notes. This will inform you of all the killer and perk buffs and changes accompanying the update alongside the addition of Dracula.

When does DBD CastleVania Chapter 33 PTB come out?

The release time for when the Dead By Daylight x CastleVania Chapter 33 PTB will come out and start should be 8AM PT/11 AM ET/4PM BST on August 6th.

There is no livestream or event happening tomorrow, so the DBD public-test build should come out at the ordinary time seen for chapters and updates. There have been minor delays in the past such as the Dungeons and Dragons PTB launching later than usual, but this only happens when a livestream is taking place.

Countdown

Below is a countdown to the launch of the public-test build:

How to play PTB

You will only be able to play the public-test build if you own Dead By Daylight on Steam. Provided you play on PC and Steam, simply follow the below steps:

  • Right-click Dead By Daylight in your Steam library
  • Select “Properties”
  • Head into “Betas”, then select Public Test Build from the list

Unfortunately, public test builds are not available to sample on PlayStation or Xbox consoles, and they are also not available on the Epic Games store.

There is no full release date for CastleVania Chapter 33 yet, but the year 9 roadmap highlights it is set to come out in August. Therefore, we assume the full release date for all platforms is most likely August 27th.

The killer is leaked, as well as teased and pretty much confirmed, as Dracula, meanwhile, no leaks have revealed the survivor as of writing. Fans are predicting it will be a Belmont, but there’s other guesses such as Alucard.
