Davina McCall has flashed her post-op scar during her first haircut since brain tumour surgery. The telly fave, 57, had her locks snipped by her beau Michael Douglas who’s not just her partner but her hairdresser, too.
The trim happened live on Insta on Saturday evening with Davina beaming throughout as she gets pampered by Michael, who’s been her man since 2019. They met two decades earlier when he first did her ‘do.
While lopping off her tresses, Michael doled out a bevvy of tips for the fans tuning in and gave them a sneak peek at Davina’s surgery keepsake.
The hair whizz mentioned that our Davina’s mop isn’t as thick as it once was post-kiddos, adding that while she’s sporting less hair these days as she said she “used to have lots of hair but I had babies”.
Davina also gave fans an update on her scar, saying “it’s all healed, it’s a bit crusty,” as she pointed to the area and noted “we lost a big chunk here” due to missing hair. In a cheeky moment, Davina winced when Michael was a tad rough with her hair, to which he quipped: “I was a bit rough there – she normally likes it rough.”
Quick to retort, Davina shot back: “Michael Douglas you are naughty”, reports the Mirror. Wrapping up the video, Davina praised her beau for his hairstyling skills and humorously remarked that she should “have brain surgery more often”.
Earlier in the week, the ITV celeb shared her post-surgery progress on social media, beaming into the camera, she said: “Hi just a quick update to let everyone know that I’m doing well. And the last couple of days I’ve really, really, really felt miles better and I’ve come in to London today to celebrate one of Michael’s boy’s birthdays, so that’s lovely.”
She clarified: “And just also wanted to say that the picture of me in the wig was from when we recorded The Masked Singer earlier on this year, it was before my operation. I was fit as a fiddle then, I’m still recovering right now and I’m planning on getting back to work in about a month.”
Davina was discussing her recent promotional photos for The Masked Singer, where she looked almost unrecognisable without her signature long brunette hair. Instead, the TV host sported a short, choppy blonde hairstyle, with the platinum strands styled into a pixie cut.
