Dancing on Ice confirms first contestant for 2025 series

Must read

Dancing on Ice has confirmed the first celebrity taking part in the 2025 series.

Reality TV personality Ferne McCann is the first of 12 contestants lacing up their shoes for the ITV competition show, which will return early next year.

“I’m so excited,” Ferne said. “It’s going to be a huge challenge but I’m excited for the glitz and glamour of the show.”

The news was announced on Monday’s (September 30) edition of Good Morning Britain.

Ferne rose to fame on The Only Way is Essex, and later competed in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, finishing in third place in 2015.

Since then, she’s starred in multiple shows chronicling her life and family on ITVBe. However, she announced last week that Ferne McCann: My Family and Me is coming to an end, as her daughter Sunday is now starting to realise that Ferne is famous.

“This show has been a glorious experience, I’m immensely proud of it and have absolutely no regrets – what an amazing home video,” she continued.

“But for me now, I want Sunday to have a life where she doesn’t have to come home from school, get changed and film.

“This isn’t the end of Sunday being on TV – she will still pop up – but it won’t be so often.”

Meanwhile, Olympian Greg Rutherford teased back in July that he has been in contact with the Dancing on Ice bosses about a potential return after he was forced to pull out of the 2024 final due to sustaining a significant injury.

Dancing on Ice will return in 2025 on ITV1 and ITVX.
