Dancing on Ice has announced the 12th and final celebrity joining next year’s skating competition.
Paralympic grand champion Dame Sarah Storey – who has won multiple gold medals for cycling and swimming during her Paralympic Games career – confirmed the news on Lorraine this morning (October 7).
“I’m excited to learn a new skill and have the opportunity to put myself out there and learn a new sport,” she told host Lorraine Kelly of her upcoming skating challenge.

The news was also shared on the official Dancing on Ice Instagram account, with some of the show’s professional skaters welcoming Sarah to the line-up.
“Fantastic news. Welcome to the ice!” wrote Mark Hanretty, with fellow pro Vicky Ogden commenting: “Welcome welcome.”
Dame Sarah isn’t the only sports star to appear in the upcoming series, which is expected to returns to screens early next year.
Olympic rowing legend Sir Steve Redgrave will also be taking to the ice alongside former footballer Anton Ferdinand.

Other stars who will compete include comedian Josh Jones, Love Island star Chris Taylor, Springwatch presenter Michaela Strachan and The Traitors finalist Mollie Pearce, plus The Only Way Is Essex stars Dan Edgar and Ferne McCann.
Completing the line-up are soap stars Sam Aston of Coronation Street fame and EastEnders legend Charlie Brooks, plus Hollyoaks‘ Chelsee Healey.
