Dancing on Ice has unveiled the fifth celebrity contestant joining the 2025 series.
EastEnders star Charlie Brooks – known for playing Janine Carter on the BBC soap – will take to the ice in the next series of the ITV competition show, which is set to return to screens early next year.
Brooks confirmed her participation while appearing on today’s episode of Loose Women, sharing her excitement at the new challenge.

“I’m going to embrace the spray tan,” she joked, adding: “All I want to do is enjoy it and try not to break my leg.”
Brooks also opened up on her skating experience and her hopes for the competition.
“I’ve skated when I was a kid and with mulled wine at Christmas,” she told the Loose Women panel. “Until I get on the ice, I have no idea how I’m going to be. I’m not that strong.
“I’m not competitive, but it might come out in me and I want to have fun and not get injured.”

Brooks is the second soap star to sign on to Dancing on Ice 2025 so far, with Coronation Street actor Sam Aston also confirmed in the celebrity line-up.
They’ll join former TOWIE star Ferne McCann and The Traitors star Mollie Pearce, plus Olympic rowing legend Sir Steve Redgrave, on the ice in just a few months’ time.
Brooks made her debut on EastEnders in 1999 and has had multiple stints on Albert Square. Her last appearance came at the end of 2022 as part of a dramatic storyline that also saw Danny Dyer leave as Mick Carter.
Dancing on Ice will return in 2025 on ITV1 and ITVX.
