Cruz Beckham ’s new girlfriend Jackie Apostel has shared a snap of a huge post-surgery scar on her back, revealing that she had to relearn how to walk. Jackie, who has reportedly been dating Cruz for several months, encouraged her 131,000 Instagram followers to “check in” on their friends and she opened up about undergoing a mentally and physically challenging time just three months ago.
Although the songwriter didn’t discuss the specifics around the reason for the scar, which ran down the centre of her back, Jackie explained that the surgery meant that she found it difficult to get up. Having gone through a “hard time” as a result, the post reflected on the power of the human body.
“Random thought,” she wrote alongside the snap. “Wild to think 3 months ago I was relearning to walk and couldn’t get up, physically and mentally I had a hard time, took forever to be ok with myself again especially work and writing wise.

“Our bodies are awesome and capable of so much, take a moment to be grateful for ur support systems, own willpower and strength, whatever ur going through. We all know it’s ok not to be ok all the time and hope everyone is taking care of themselves as much as possible / taking moments to focus on mental and physical health.”

Jackie also told her followers to keep in touch with those around them too. “Also check in on ur friends,” she added. “Sending everyone health hugs and love!”
The post comes just days after Cruz gushed over Jackie as she celebrated her birthday. Paying tribute to her on Instagram, Cruz, who is the youngest son of David and Victoria Beckham, shared a series of sweet snaps including one which showed her getting ready to blow out the candles of her birthday cake. “Happy Birthday xx I love you,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, prior to the birthday celebrations, the pair were spotted on a shopping spree together in Beverly Hills. As they headed out, Jackie, who was a member of the Brazilian girl band Schutz, looked stylish in a black midi dress and sleek bob.
Just last month, Jackie joined Cruz and his family as they attended Victoria’s show at Paris Fashion Week where she wore one of Victoria’s designs. Following the family outing, Jackie wrote on Instagram: “The most beautiful show and the most beautiful dress. Congratulations @victoriabeckham.”
