She hid her tears and tried to pretend everything was normal on her four sons’ final school run more than two weeks ago before leaving for Australia for a stint in the I’m A Celebrity jungle.
And now Coleen Rooney’s youngest boys Kit, eight, and Cass, six, have arrived Down Under to greet their mother off the bridge next week with her parents Colette, 61, and Anthony.
Arriving after a 23-hour flight in Brisbane Airport with the boys still clutching the kangaroo teddy bears their mother gave them before she left for the Jungle.
Still full of energy, Kit and Cass raced off ahead of their grandparents who pushed trolleys ladened with suitcases ahead of their two-week holiday on the Gold Coast, waiting for their only daughter to leave the ITV show.

The four are staying in the five-star Marriott Hotel and will enjoy trips to the beach and days by the pool while Coleen lives off a diet of rice and beans in the Australian jungle.
Her eldest sons Kai, 15, and Klay, 12, chose to remain in the UK after their mother insisted they would have to bring their school work on the trip to Australia’s Gold Coast and to attend their football tournaments.
Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney, 39, is staying home thanks to his job as a manager at Plymouth Argyle, the boys made sure they took a reminder of their dad with them as they also had action figures of him playing football packed in their suitcases.
Before boarding the flight, Coleen’s parents said they were ‘very excited’ to see their daughter.
Her mother Colette said: ‘We are very proud of her. She is doing very well. We are all very excited to see her.’
Asked if she might win the jungle crown, smiling Colette who was dressed in a jungle-esque khaki two-piece outfit but later changed into a striped white and blue jumper when she arrived Down Under, said: ‘She’s got a chance’.
Her father Tony added: ‘She’s doing pretty well, we are all very proud of how she’s doing.
‘She’s doing alright and is coming across really well. You never know she might win.

The couple and the two children arrived at the airport from her daughter’s Cheshire mansion in two people carriers.
One car carried the family while the other took some of their five large suitcases.
Kit was seen pushing his own suitcase with ‘KR’ in big red letters on it.
The family checked in for the 13.10 flight to Dubai which is due to connect to Brisbane in the early hours.
The WAG revealed that they chose not to jet out to Australia, telling The Mail on Sunday: ‘My two youngest ones are coming over. They all had the option but the two older ones decided that they would stay at home to continue with school and football.’
‘I think I said when you come you’ll have to bring your work with you, and they would be missing some football tournaments, so they quickly changed their minds.’
‘Obviously, I would have liked them all to come out but it makes sense in a way and they both chose a wise decision not to miss out on anything back home and as soon as the show’s over, I’m back straight away.’
‘So, it’s one of those things, I put it in their hands, they decided and I agree with it really. I think it was missing the football that really did it for them, they didn’t want to miss any tournaments.’
