The mum-of-four has confirmed she will be travelling Down Under for the competition
Coleen Rooney has set the record straight on whether she will be exempt from Bushtucker Trials on I’m A Celebrity. The mum-of-four officially confirmed she will be travelling Down Under for the upcoming season of TV’s toughest entertainment challenge.
The 38-year-old is one of 10 stars who have been announced tonight as part of the line-up. Coleen, who is married to former Everton FC striker Wayne Rooney, has issued a message on Instagram to share her reasons for taking part on the show.
However, she also wanted to address reports she would be exempt from being voted for some trials. Coleen insisted the rumours were false as she said: “She said: “There’s been a lot of news saying I can’t do trials because of certain illnesses, but I can confirm I can do every trial so I’m not excluded for any. That was just a load of rubbish.”

Coleen said she is a huge fan of the show and is looking forward to throwing herself into whatever is thrown in her way. She added: “I’ve always said no and put it off because the kids have been young and I’ve had quite a lot on. But this year, I thought, I quite fancy doing it.
Coleen continued; “I would like to experience something different, do something for myself, meet new people. I’m looking forward to doing the trials.”
However, Coleen did confess she was worried about the prospect of leaving behind Kai, Klay, Kit and Cass. She added: “Don’t get me wrong. I’m really anxious about leaving the kids. That’s been my biggest thing. I’ve come to terms with it. I’ve planned and prepped.
“I’ve got an army of family and friends all helping out with the kids so they are going to be fine. They are probably going to have a great time while I’m away.”
The premiere of the ITV show will air on Sunday, November 17, at 9pm with a 105-minute episode. The show, fronted by Ant and Dec, will be broadcast every night apart from Saturday until December 8 when the King or Queen of the jungle will be crowned.
The official line up has been confirmed tonight as Coleen will be joined by stars including Oti Mabuse, Coronation Street actor Alan Halsall, and McFly’s Danny Jones.
GK Barry, Jane Moore, Melvin Odoom, Tulisa Contostavlos, Barry McGuigan and Dean McCullough have also been confirmed as part of the line-up. Coleen was spotted in Manchester Airport today as she checked in ahead of her flight to Australia.
