The Truth Lies is a new website that seemingly teases the upcoming Call of Duty Black Ops 6 title from Activision
Call of Duty’s latest entry is expected to be titled Gulf War and part of the Black Ops series of titles. A new website called The Truth Lies has been found. It is a short video played through an old CRT TV with built-in controls that let you change the volume, and channel, and even record/pause the content. The record feature makes an mp4 file that automatically downloads a clip of what you watched.
For now, the main content is a short looping video on channel one that shows men hiking near Mt. Rushmore in the United States at night. It then cuts to daytime where a “The Truth Lies” banner is hanging over the eyes in the monument. The banner features the Cerberus three-headed dog logo that is part of the [REDACTED] direct that is airing in June from Xbox/Activision. There are multiple channels on the website’s TV though all others just play static at the time of this report.
The Verge and Insider Gaming have been going back and forth on new information about the next Call of Duty title. Insider Gaming has stated it will be called Call of Duty: Gulf War while Tom Warren of The Verge had stated it would be targeting a late October release date. In a new piece today Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming has given a straight-up release date for the title, October 25th, 2024.
Insider Gaming has reported previously that the next title in the Call of Duty franchise will be titled Black Ops: Gulf War and that it is set to be showcased in June. There have been five previous titles in the Black Ops Series. The first four were named 1-4 with Black Ops: Cold War breaking the naming convention after developer Treyarch had to take over another studio’s title.
