Cochin Duty Free has launched two new last-minute shopping concepts for shoppers at Cochin International Airport in India.
Retail at the airport is operated by Alpha Kreol India, a joint venture of Kreol Group and Avolta, and the company already has both arrivals and departures stores. Now the company has launched a Last-Minute Store and a Shop-on-Wheels to offer new collections and options for shoppers.
Alpha Kreol India Director Lal Arakulath believes the new approach will enhance the offer. “This goes one step ahead in creating extra opportunities for shoppers,” he said.
The Shop-on-Wheels is a moving buggy which roams the concourse offering curated collections of perfumes, chocolates and other items, in an accessible way for travellers.
Cochin International Airport Managing Director S.Suhas added: “These additions are designed to elevate the shopping experience for passengers. “Located near departure gate Number 3, the Last-Minute Shop offers a range of travel essentials, from fragrances to chocolates, making it easy for travellers to grab any necessities before boarding.
