A cleaning expert has shared a hack that will leave your car windows sparkling clean and streak-free – and it costs less than 50p from your local supermarket.
As sunnier skies and warmer weather sweep over the UK, motorists are gearing up for sun-soaked adventures with their loved ones.
However, the prospect of enjoying the view and capturing scenic snapshots through streaky car windows can dampen the joy of any journey.
To combat this, firm Southampton Gutters have unveiled a wallet-friendly solution that promises sparkling results – and it costs a mere 35p from Tesco.
According to the cleaning experts, the secret ingredient to squeaky-clean car windows is white vinegar.

The experts said: ‘Mixing one part white vinegar with ten parts water creates an eco-friendly cleaning solution that shines windows without harsh chemicals.
They warned: ‘Make sure that you use white vinegar, because it’s less likely to leave any visible marks on the surfaces you’re cleaning than the brown malt alternative.’
The cleaning experts also suggested a number of other inexpensive alternatives that leave car windows spotless, such as dish soap, newspaper, microfibre cloths, and black tea.
Dean May, the owner of Southampton Gutters, said: ‘These eco-friendly window cleaning techniques not only protect the environment but also enable everyone to achieve professional-grade clean windows.’
He added that these methods would allow motorists and passengers to enjoy clearer views and a more scenic journey ‘all summer long.’
A 568ml bottle of Tesco’s own-brand Distilled Vinegar can be purchased nationwide online and in store for just 35p.
It comes after a woman shared a foil-blanket hack that reduced her home’s temperature by up to FOUR degrees during sweltering summer heat – and it costs just £2.
Jay Virdee, from Buckinghamshire, had the idea after she saw a car with a large sunshade in the windscreen and she wondered if she could replicate it in her own home.

She said she had been left ‘roasting’ in her room due to the heat and thought she could upgrade from the one-way window film, which blocks some UV rays, that she already had.
Jay, who suffers from lung disease and a rare autoimmune condition and needs to keep healthy and safe in hot weather, tried tinfoil but said it was too expensive because she needed multiple rolls to cover her window and it needed to be replaced regularly after ripping easily.
The foil also created a ‘total blackout’, which she did not want. So she did some more digging – eventually finding out that an emergency foil blanket worked perfectly to cool down her home.
The foil blankets are large and reusable and can be bought in multipacks.
They are transparent enough to be able to see through whilst reducing between 50-60 per cent of the sun coming in.
