Chris Rock shocked attendees at billionaire Anthony Pratt’s exclusive holiday party when he abruptly ended his comedy set and “angrily” stormed off stage.
Rock was reportedly joking about the country’s political state when he “saw something the audience did not,” which prompted him to take off without explanation.
This incident comes after Chris Rock came under scrutiny when a chilling joke he made about Sean “Diddy” Combs teaching kids “wrong from wronger” resurfaced online.

Rock reportedly got annoyed about an incident and “angrily” stormed off stage while performing at Anthony Pratt’s party.
Pratt, executive chairman of Pratt Industries, had invited the comedian to perform at the VIP-studded soiree for his Christmas party in Australia but had to see him perform a “very short set” in protest to being recorded on tape.
According to the New York Post‘s Gossip columnist Cindy Adams, Rock “saw something the audience did not” and that whatever he saw “upset him.”
“Like he went momentarily ape and shouted something like he wasn’t supposed to be taped, videoed, reported or whatever else wasn’t supposed to happen,” the news outlet reported.
Rock allegedly “didn’t complain, didn’t explain, didn’t do one more minute” before leaving and was said to have been “barrelling quickly, forcefully, through people to the exit doors.”
“He kept b-tching loudly and, without a second’s hesitation, stormed out — never to return,” Adams wrote.

It comes nearly three years after Rock was embroiled in another tense moment while hosting the 94th Academy Awards on March 27, 2022.
At the time, the comedian made a joke about Will Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, but the “Gemini” actor wasn’t having it and decided to claim the stage at the awards show to slap Rock.
Smith faced several penalties for the incident and was banned from attending the Oscars for 10 years.
Meanwhile, Rock has been tapped to host the last few episodes of “Saturday Night Live” for the year.
Earlier this month, the long-running comedy show took to social media to announce that Rock will return to Studio 8H to host the December 14 episode, marking his fourth time hosting, having been a cast member between 1990 and 1993.

After the Oscar altercation, Smith publicly apologized and said he also reached out to Rock to say he was sorry for the shocking incident.
In a video posted on YouTube, Smith spoke out about his violent reaction to Rock’s comments about Jada’s hair loss caused by alopecia.
“There is no part of me that thinks that was the right way to behave at that moment. There’s no part of me that thinks that’s the optimal way to handle a feeling of disrespect or insults,” he said in the video.
During a November 2022 interview on “The Daily Show” with Trevor Noah, Smith further explained that the slap was triggered by bottled-up “rage” and emotions.
He acknowledged the complicated situation but emphasized that his actions were ultimately inexcusable.
“There are many nuances and complexities to it,” Smith said. “But at the end of the day, I just — I lost it, you know?” he said per Insider.

In a 2020 conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Rock admitted that he has never really “dealt” with his childhood trauma.
“I’m not belittling today’s youth, but I wish somebody had sent me a bad text when I was a kid. These motherf-ckers were trying to kill me,” he recounted. “I thought I was actually dealing with it, and the reality is I never dealt with it.”
Rock added, “The reality was the pain and the fear that brought me, I was experiencing it every day.”

Rock recently caused a stir online when a clip where he made a raunchy joke about embattled rapper Diddy emerged.
Following his September 16 arrest, the Bad Boy Records founder has been facing different troubling allegations and has been charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
In the viral clip, Rock, who was the host of the 2003 VMAs, joked about Diddy’s time on the program “Making The Band,” saying the embattled rapper thought kids “wrong from wronger.”
“My favorite show on MTV is Making the Band with P Diddy,” Rock began. “It’s the best show on television because you get to see Puff Daddy being a mentor to the children. And who better than Puff Daddy to show the kids wrong from wronger? That’s right, you get to see Puff Daddy pass down great fatherly advice.”
The clip resurfaced on TikTok, with one user saying the joke has “aged so badly,” while another added, “I feel like they knew back then what we all know now.”
