As her son Bear gets ready to turn seven next month, Cheryl is reportedly not giving up her dream of giving her son a sibling and knows it needs to happen sooner rather than later. The Girls Aloud star, 40, welcomed her first child with ex Liam Payne back in 2017, before the pair parted ways the following year.
A source told Heat magazine: “Cheryl’s not yet fully given up on her dream to have another baby, but she knows it probably has to be within the next year or so. With Bear’s birthday coming up, it’s really hitting home to Cheryl that he’s no longer her baby, and is now a proper little boy who is growing more independent by the day.
“It’s gone by in a blur, and she really misses that time when it was just her and him in their own little bubble.” Express.co.uk has contacted Cheryl’s representative for comment.
After a whirlwind two-and-a-half-year relationship, Cheryl and Liam, 30, decided to call it quits. It’s now been reported that the pair share a better relationship as they co-parent their little boy.
In 2013, the former One Direction star was rushed to hospital with a kidney infection and Cheryl was said to be concerned about his welfare.
A seperate source told the aforementioned publication: “Cheryl is really worried about Liam. As soon as she heard he was in hospital, she feared the worst. She’s really protective of him and is worried no one is actually looking out for him.”
Liam previously gave an insight into co-parenting with Cheryl and revealed why they decided to break up.
Speaking on Logan Paul’s podcast Impaulsive, he divulged: “I get to take my son to school one or two times a week and it’s the best thing. The relationship we have now as friends has only grown more.
“We broke up for a reason and now she gives me full autonomy of my life and to do what I want to do and I know he’s (Bear) taken care of.
“He is all she cares about and I couldn’t ask for more. They live like three minutes from my house.
“I always glue myself to where he is. My life now is his. My money is his. He is a lovely, lovely boy. We’ve been blessed.”
The pair seemed to be loved up when they began dating in 2016, frequently posing for pictures together on various red carpets together including at the BRIT Awards in 2018.
However, the relationship seemed to take a nosedive after Bear was born, as Liam alluded to them having a child as the reason for their split.
