Enzo Maresca looks to already be having an impact on Chelsea’s transfer plans with official confirmation of his appointment as head coach expected soon.
football.london understands club chiefs Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart flew out to Spain earlier this week in order to finalise the deal.
Alongside bringing five of his coaching staff to west London, Maresca could push to have Kieran Dewsbury-Hall and Mads Hermansen join him with the Foxes duo perfect for his system. However it looks as though he may look elsewhere with three priority positions revealed and thus three potential new signings.
As per multiple sources, Villarreal’s Filip Jorgensen is a target with Chelsea recently asking for the conditions surrounding a potential deal.
Newcastle have already shown interest in the 22-year-old with a fee in the region of €20million (£17m) likely to be enough to sanction a deal. Elsewhere, Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez has become of interest to the Blues just 12 months on from his £15.5million transfer to the south coast from AZ Alkmaar.
In terms of striker options, RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko could be the chosen signing with Victor Osimhen deemed too expensive.
