Charles ‘still bothered’ by one Harry remark that’s left him ‘torn’

Must read

King Charles is still bothered by one cutting remark Prince Harry made about Queen Camilla in his bombshell memoir Spare, it has been reported.

Writing in Spare, the Duke of Sussex dubbed Camilla “the villain” and wrong at length about their strained relationship.

Harry also went so far as to call the Queen a “wicked stepmother” and “dangerous villain” who “left bodies in the streets”.

A source told US Weekly that Queen Camilla is still wary of Harry, which has left Charles feeling “torn” between his wife and son.

The source added that Harry’s scathing attacks on Camilla in Spare “still bother” the King more than a year since its release.

Harry briefly saw his father earlier this year following the news that Charles has cancer.

However, the pair did not meet during Harrys last UK visit for the Invictus Games, highlighting the unresolved issues within the family.

A royal commentator has told the Mirror that Prince Harry‘s potential return to the Royal fold hinges on his ability to make “cast-iron promises” to King Charles.

Tom Quinn, a Royal expert, remarked: “King Charles would love to be closer to Harry and to have a relationship with his son that actually works.

“But this depends on Harry giving his father cast-iron guarantees that there will be no more books and no more embarrassing interviews.”

Yet, Quinn expressed doubts about the feasibility of such a reconciliation, noting Harry’s self-perception as a “victim” within the family dynamic. “Harry still feels that he is the victim and that his family need to make promises to him, not the other way round,” he elaborated.
