Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has said that he has ‘no doubts’ about Rodrygo being an important player for his side in the future amid talk surrounding a summer move away.
Liverpool have previously been linked with the forward, with some reports even suggesting that the Reds have seen a bid of £103m rejected for the player. He has been suggested as a potential long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah who has just one year remaining on his current contract.
The 23-year-old is a key player for Ancelotti’s side and will aim to have a big impact on the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. The two teams face each other at Wembley Stadium.

Rodrygo put teams on red alert in the week when he appeared to leave his future open during an interview. He has since taken to social media to clarify his comments, writing: “A very annoying situation occurred today, where one of my interviews was completely taken out of context.”
“To be very direct, I am VERY happy at Real Madrid, I live a dream every day and it does NOT cross my mind to leave the club of my life. Now we continue with history. HALA MADRID AND NOTHING MORE!”
There was a similar feel to comments from Ancelotti before the final.
“Rodrygo is going to give it all [on Saturday], he’s a very important piece for us,” he said in his pre-match press conference. “He has been very important, he is, and he will be in the future, we have no doubt about that whatsoever.”
The Brazilian has played a total of 215 times for Madrid so far, scoring 54 goals and providing a further 41 assists. He is expected to start the final as he looks to add to those numbers.
