But before that, George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (the prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road, which screened out-of-competition at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015) will have its premiere on May 15. That red carpet should deliver an exceptional look or two, as Anya Taylor-Joy’s press-tour style has recently featured indelible standouts like a metal Balmain minidress and a spiked headdress from Paco Rabanne. Elsewhere on the Croisette, Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis, the 85-year-old director’s self-financed passion project about an architect who wants to rebuild New York City as a utopia after a catastrophe, will premiere on May 16. The cast of the retro-futurist epic includes Adam Driver, Nathalie Emmanuel, Giancarlo Esposito, Aubrey Plaza, Shia LaBeouf, Dustin Hoffman, Jon Voight, Laurence Fishburne, Chloe Fineman, Kathryn Hunter, Grace VanderWaal, James Remar, Talia Shire, and Jason Schwartzman.
