Campbelltown: Harrowing scenes after a toddler falls 9m from unit block window in Sydney’s south-west

A toddler has been rushed to hospital after he plunged two storeys from the window of an apartment and reportedly landed on a car.

The two-year-old boy reportedly fell nine metres from the window of a unit at the Hoddle Avenue apartment complex in Campbelltown, in Sydney‘s south-west around 4pm on Sunday. 

Emergency services treated the boy in the complex courtyard before he was taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

The condition of the boy and the extent of his injuries are not yet known. 

A spokeswoman from NSW Ambulance told Daily Mail Australia that the two-year-old fell from a height of two storeys.

Police inquiries into the incident continue. 

The Sydney Children’s Hospital Network has been contacted for comment. 

Harrowing footage from the scene showed two ambulances arriving at the complex before paramedics surrounded the injured boy. 

A child could be heard crying uncontrollably as emergency services worked quickly to administer treatment.

Police officers were seen doorknocking and speaking to residents who live in the apartment complex.

Other shocked residents watched the unfolding emergency from their balconies.

Paramedics and police officers surrounded the van to block people from entering the vicinity while the boy was getting treated at the back of the van.
