MAYA Jama and Gemma Atkinson were amongst the stars who dazzled on the red carpet at the MTV European Music Awards.
Huge names from music, film and TV were all out in force at the highly-anticipated global event in Manchester.
Love Island presenter Maya, 30, led the way as she stunned in a plunging black gown.
She beamed as she stepped out onto the red carpet in the glamorous look with simple black strappy sandals.
Huge gold accessory safety pins lined the revealing cut out ankle-length gown as she flaunted her stunning features.
The TV personality sported a glam makeup look with perfectly manicured brows, a soft shadow, pointed liner and a thick nude gloss.
Raye, 27, was one of the first of the nominated stars to make her huge entrance onto the carpet.
Raye is due to perform at the event after she was given recognition in three categories.
She greeted fans in a blood orange 1920’s art-deco style gown with an embellished skirt.
Meanwhile, Mabel, 28, and 80’s star Neneh Cherry, 60, were all smiles as they posed together at the event.
The Don’t Call Me Up singer covered up in a thick turtleneck checkered gown, while the Buffalo Stance hitmaker wore an oversized pinstripe suit.
Gemma, 39, also opted for a plunging look as her fiance Gorka Marquez competes in Strictly Come Dancing.
The former Hollyoaks actress stunned in a black dominatrix themed corseted leather midi dress.
Her gown had snakeskin panels and cut outs by her legs which were tied together with matching black laces.
She accompanied the strappy look with gloves, and a huge black cloaked that was draped over her elbows.
The radio presenter had her blonde locks tied into a beehive updo as she sported simple black heels.
Other stars to grace the carpet include TV presenter Vic Hope, Eurovision’s Olly Alexander, Jedward, and comedian Katherine Ryan.
Later at the EMA’s, British artists including Charli XCX, Raye and Dua Lipa will be among the stars battling it out for top industry gongs.
It will take place in Manchester after it is held in a different European city every year.
The new Co-op Live arena will host elaborate performances from the likes of Shawn Mendes, Teddy Swims and Benson Boone.
Pop star Rita Ora will front the ceremony, where the Pet Shop Boys will receive the first MTV EMA pop pioneers gong.
Hip hop icon Busta Rhymes will also be honoured with the prestigious global icon award.
The ceremony is returning for the first time since 2022, after last year’s event was cancelled over the “volatility of world events” following the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war.
The awards will be presented by celebrities including mother and daughter musicians Neneh Cherry and Mabel and Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale as well as actors Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Turner-Smith and Lucien Laviscount.
Gavin, 59, walked into the event flaunting his arm tattoos as he sported a simple sheer black short sleeved t-shirt.
US pop star Taylor Swift leads the pack with seven nominations, including best video, best artist, best live, and best collaboration.
Brat star Charli XCX is close behind with five nominations, after her album inspired this year’s Brat summer trend.
The singer-songwriter is in the running for awards including best collaboration, for Guess featuring Billie Eilish, best video and biggest fans.
She appears alongside Eilish, Swift, Beyonce, Sabrina Carpenter and Post Malone in the best artist category.
Also nominated for awards are British rapper Central Cee and Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.
The Britpop legend is up against the likes of Coldplay, Bon Jovi and Lenny Kravitz in the best rock act category.
Manchester’s Co-op Live arena was previously announced as the venue for the awards in February.
Although a catalogue of problems meant the new venue’s opening was delayed from April until May.
Music fans from community groups in the region were given the opportunity to get tickets for the awards at a Superfan Sign-Up held last month.
The 2024 MTV EMAs will be broadcast at 10pm on Channel 5 and will be available on demand on Paramount+ from November 12.
