Budget airline and holidays company, Jet2.com, is offering its popular Iceland packages, a favourite for viewing the Northern Lights, to North West consumers next winter.

The programme, by Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks, makes a return to Manchester Airport, and is on offer for the first time at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA).

The programme will see the companies operate three dedicated trips in total from LJLA, including a three-night trip on November 30, 2025, a three-night trip on February 15, 2026 and a three-night trip on April 5, 2026. The trips in February and April are ideally timed for the February half-term and Easter holidays.

At Manchester, the companies fly twice-weekly, Monday and Thursday, to Iceland from October 2, to December 8, 2025, and from January 29, to April 27, 2026.

This means stays are available at key periods during winter 25/26, including over the October half-term, February half-term, Easter holidays and in the countdown to Christmas.

The release of the programme today (June 20) is the earliest the companies have ever put their Iceland programme on sale from Manchester Airport.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “The programme has been put on sale early in response to the strong demand from customers and independent travel agents across the region, and it offers fantastic choice.”

Stephen Turner, Chief Commercial Officer at Manchester Airport, said: “Iceland is an increasingly popular destination for travellers in the region thanks to its promise of adventure, peerless natural beauty and rich, unique culture. That’s why it’s fantastic to see Jet2.com already launching its Iceland programme for next winter.”

Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks say their programme of Iceland trips have continued to enjoy huge success from other UK airport bases and the companies expect the same response from LJLA, particularly given the reaction to the launch of flights and holidays from their new airport base.

Customers can pick from flight-only or package holiday options. These package options with Jet2CityBreaks include a guided Northern Lights Tour, flights with Jet2.com, 22kg hold luggage and transfers to and from the airport, as well as a choice of three- and four-star hotels in central Reykjavik.

In addition, a choice of excursions to the South Shore, Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon are also available.

Steve Heapy said: “The dazzling beauty of Iceland, coupled with the award-winning benefits available through Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks, means we are confident that this programme will be a resounding success from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, and we look forward to taking customers from our new base to this breathtaking destination.”

Paul Winfield, Aviation Director for LJLA, said: “It becomes the latest city break departure from Liverpool operated by Jet2.com and Jet2Citybreaks and we look forward to welcoming this exciting new route.”
