BSG Is ‘Working 24/7’ On The Next Tarkov Patch

Must read

Battlestate Games’ Nikita Buyanov has stressed on social media that the team is ‘working on the 0.15 patch 24/7’. He pointed out quite correctly that this is now the longest Tarkov wipe ever, coming in at a whopping 226 days, which is one day over the previous record that ran from December 2022 to August 2023.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the global reset, even if many players have been left disappointed by some development decisions made over the last few months.

It’s Almost Here

We’ve known for several months that the next Tarkov wipe would land in August, and now we’re here and are sitting mere days away from that becoming a reality. This wipe will be ushered in alongside patch 0.15, which will introduce several key elements and improvements to the Escape from Tarkov ecosystem.

Buyanov, who is the COO at Battlestate Games, advised that the development staff at the firm is working around the clock to prepare the patch. Many are doubtful that the update will launch without a hitch, though. Historically, something major always goes wrong when the wipe comes around, and the first few days of the new update tend to render the platform almost unplayable.

In the last few days, Buyanov has posted a few images online teasing some of the upcoming content, including a Desert Eagle handgun, Molotov cocktails, and clothing items that no longer ‘clip’ through each other.

Recently, Escape from Tarkov’s player base was struck by a devastating technical malfunction that saw thousands of users have their accounts wiped. By way of a response, Battlestate Games awarded impacted players a stack of cash and plenty of in-game items to make up for the error.
