A MISSING Brit has tragically been found dead near his family holiday home in Portugal.
Police spent the weekend searching for the 28-year-old man in a huge hunt involving drones and sniffer dogs after his heartbroken relatives reported him missing.
Officials were searching around an area near the village of Saboia just above the Algarve in Portugal’s Alentejo region as they found the grim discovery of the man’s body.
A massive team of firefighters were all deployed to scour the area where the devastated family were staying when the man vanished.
The Brit had unspecified “health problems”, according to local reports.
The holiday home was in a quiet and rural area of Portugal next to a vast woodlands close to the banks of the famous Mira River.
The exact spot where the body was found is yet to be announced with the autopsy results not expected to be released for some time.
Police sources confirmed they are not investigating the death as suspicious.
The unnamed Brit is thought to have been reported missing on the Wednesday with the search only being launched two days later.
It comes as cops discovered the body of missing 19-year-old Jay Slater after over a month of searching for the Brit.
Jay was found in an unforgiving rocky ravine by a search party out in Tenerife with cops believing the teen plummeted to his death after an unfortunate misstep.
His body showed he suffered multiple injuries consistent with an accidental fall from a considerable height including several broken bones.
Earlier this month, a 48-year-old Brit named as Steven Michael B was also found dead more than a week after Spanish mountain rescue police began looking for the man.
Steven reportedly vanished on July 11 after a row with his wife.
His body was tragically found on July 21 inside the village of Las Salas’s church bell tower.
One Brit was miraculously found after going missing for 12 days in Majorca after he was robbed and kicked out of his apartment.
Ben Ross, 26, was found “dehydrated and exhausted” at the British Consulate in Palma as he was reunited with his mum Felix last Monday.
Ben is due to stay in Majorca until he can sort out an emergency passport to get back to the UK with his mum saying he needs to be at “full strength” before they fly home.
