Boy Meets World star Trina McGee has revealed she suffered a miscarriage after falling pregnant aged 54.
McGee, 55, first announced her pregnancy in June and claimed she had ‘reversed menopause’ to conceive her first child with husband Marcello Thedford and fourth child overall.
Announcing her heartbreaking loss on the Monday, September 23, episode of The Tamron Hall Show, she said: ‘I did lose the baby. It wasn’t expected, it was closer to the end of the first trimester. We don’t have any real reasons why.’
‘I was still so grateful to have the experience of being able to conceive at this age and this time.
The actress — who played Angela on the iconic 90s show – added: ‘Part of me doesn’t ever want to go through this again. The conclusion I came to is, we’ll just keep loving each other, if something happens that way, fine, but I don’t want to put another anxiety on myself. Sometimes it really is better to let go and let God.’

She had previously insisted her pregnancy at age 54 was ‘completely natural.’
The actress told People magazine that she took a ‘holistic’ approach, calling it a ‘miracle.’
She revealed she was 12 weeks along in June.
Her comments come after her former Boy Meets World co-star Maitland Ward made a wild claim that the star’s pregnancy at 54 could be a publicity stunt.
Trina said to the outlet: ‘I just kept saying, “Is this really happening?” I still do that. “Is this really happening?” But it is. Then, I’ll get sick, or I’ll do something weird [and] it has to do with pregnancy. And I’m like, “This is really happening.”‘
‘And I’m remembering all the other times when I was pregnant, you know, 25 years ago, and I’m like, wow, this is it. This is really happening. It’s wonderful. It’s great,’ she added.
Trina said that compared to her previous pregnancies, this one ‘feels very [much] like a miracle.’
Trina is mom to three kids: Ramia, 31, Langston, 29, and Ezra, 25, with ex-husband Courtland Davis.
She said when she was pregnant previously with her children she was focused on her acting career and now she said she’s ‘just relaxing.’
Noting that she is ‘not so ambitious as’ she was in her twenties, when she ‘worked through all pregnancies.’
The star said that this pregnancy is getting more attention than her previous pregnancies- and that work is also coming in.
‘I will say work is starting to come to me just because of the baby, and phone calls and different situations are coming up, so we’ll see what happens,’ she told the outlet.
‘But I’m not pressed in any way to do anything except has this baby right now.’
Trina is also set to launch a three-day wellness retreat in Belize with her husband to help teach people how to be stress free, revealing that she loves the country and nature.
Trina and her husband Marcello don’t have any names picked yet, as the actress says they will wait until the baby is born to give the child a name.
She revealed her husband Marcello ‘has been so great’ and reacted ‘so lovingly’ when she told him she’s pregnant.
Marcello is the ‘number one person has supported me’ during her pregnancy, adding that the two of them have ‘put a lot of work into our marriage’ and he’s ‘good one.’
Trina, who played Angela Moore on the hit show between 1997-2000, shocked fans when she revealed she was expecting her fourth child earlier this week – claiming to have conceived naturally after ‘reversing’ the menopause with natural remedies.
TV star turned adult film star Maitland Ward, 47, who played Rachel McGuire on the show, said the lack of ‘information or verification’ about the pregnancy led her to suspect Trina was joking about the pregnancy.
Ward told TMZ: ‘My first thought and I hate to say it, was, was this April Fool’s day. I hope that its not a publicity stunt or anything, I hope not.
‘I have not seen any verification or information… I would hope as it goes along she would show us her journey, because that’s a big deal that would help a lot of women, it would be super inspirational.’

She added: ‘I have always had a great relationship with Trina, and I am supportive of her in a pregnancy. I don’t think Trina planned it, it has to be an accident, I don’t think she would plan it.
‘It should be celebrated. At first I thought, this is a joke!
‘She he should document it so people know how it’s possible, I would love to se the journey along the way.’
Trina has claimed she was able to conceive her fourth child in her fifties because she was able to reverse menopause with natural remedies and a shaman.
The Boy Meets World star credited that natural remedies recommended by ‘shamans’ in Belize to how she was able to get pregnant again.
She claimed that a ‘low-stress environment’ contributed to how she was able to turn back early stage menopausal signs and bear a child many years after she had her last.
She shared how her fourth pregnancy — which she called ‘miracle, beautiful and triumphant’ — has been going for her after previously giving birth to three children in an interview with Entertainment Tonight published on earlier this month.

Trina said they had been wanting to expand their family and have a baby together.
‘I have been saying I wanted to have a baby with my current husband of 16 years for quite a while,’ she explained.
She recalled that they ‘tried’ to conceive naturally, considered IVF before they turned to natural remedies.
At the time, she explained that she was one year into menopause.
She explained that they sought out help from ‘shamans’ in Belize, where Thedford has a ‘cultural background,’ and worked with the Garifuna people to reverse early stages of menopause.
She claimed that because she started taking the medicinal herbs she was recommended in Belize and kept up with her healthy lifestyle, she and Thedford were able to conceive their baby.

Additionally, McGee also said that living in a low-stress environment helped her reverse menopausal symptoms and get pregnant.
‘The number one thing for me is to not partake in any stress and stay away from negativity as much as I can, and that pertains to what I put on TV, what I look at on my phone, you know, there’s so much drama and violence and negativity out there as soon as you turn on the screen,’ she said.
‘I really wanted to be pointed when I turn on the screen — what I’m watching,’ she continued. ‘Because stress, for me, is the biggest factor.’
In her interview with the outlet, she also she is feeling hunger, nausea and exhaustion with her fourth pregnancy, but she is staying positive despite the side effects.
As for what she is feeling this time around, McGee said she was experiencing ‘just sheer joy.’
‘I don’t partake in any of the negativity anybody has to say about it,’ she continued. ‘I am so happy. I have been blessed, and that’s it.
‘And all I’m concerned about — I only have one job now — is to have this baby, and that’s what I’m about.’
