Boeing has appointed an aerospace industry veteran as its next chief executive to lead the troubled aircraft maker out of a safety crisis.
Kelly Ortberg, 64, the former head of Boeing supplier Rockwell Collins, will take over from Dave Calhoun, 67, who said in March he would step down in a leadership shake-up.
