Former Big Brother star Imogen Thomas has taken to social media to give a health update as she revealed that she had been unable to breathe and had to call an ambulance
Big Brother star Imogen Thomas has come forward with terrifying details about her recent health scare that had her dialling for an ambulance as she battled severe breathing difficulties.
The Welsh model, who became a household name after her stint on the legendary Channel 4 show in 2006, took to Instagram to announce that she’s been suffering from a “deadly” viral infection so brutal, it’s left her coughing up blood.
Revealing the nightmare, she said: “Day 6 in bed. For those mocking the flu this case has been all over the news of how savage it is.”

Her condition got worse as she explained: “I couldn’t breathe so I called my doctor and he called the paramedics. Drastic I know but I’m so grateful he did because this viral infection has been deadly and scary.
“Today I’m coughing small amounts of blood. I’m assuming it’s from straining as the cough has been continuous.”
Despite the ordeal, Imogen is relieved it didn’t happen over Christmas when her immune-compromised mother would’ve been at risk. The glamour girl suggested she’s on the mend, telling fans: “I woke up not shaking today so I’m praying this is the start of recovery.”
After hospital treatment, the reality sensation feels a turnaround may be coming.
She continued: “I will try and eat today too it’s been impossible to keep anything down for 6 days!”
Imogen also shared that her children have been unwell, though not as severely as her. She concluded her post by asking for fans’ prayers, saying: “My girls have also had it but not as bad as me so u can imagine my household.”
“Pray for me for a speedy recovery so I can enjoy my time with my family.”
Imogen, who was a contestant on the seventh series of Big Brother and lasted an impressive 86 days, shared the renowned Elstree Studios compound with legendary personalities such as Nikki Grahame, Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace, Pete Bennett, Grace Adams-Short and Mikey Dalton.
