Big Brother 2024 spoilers follow.

Big Brother has revealed that Ryan Bradshaw has been evicted from the house.

The first eviction of the 2024 series took place on Friday (October 11), with Ryan, Nathan, Dean and Baked Potato (aka Rosie) going head-to-head in the public vote.

Co-host AJ Odudu confirmed that more than half a million people voted in the eviction.

“[I’m] gutted, to be fair, but someone’s got to go first,” Ryan said after leaving the house.

The first nominations were announced on Tuesday (October 8) after the contestants were split into housemates and non-housemates, with the latter being forced to live in the storage room for several days.

To try to win their place in the house, the non-housemates were given the opportunity to go up against a housemate in a challenge. Ryan notably lost his housemate status to Martha following a game of strategy, persuasion and deception.

Speaking on Late & Live, Ryan revealed that he felt “mesmerised” after a week in the house, before admitting that it was “horrible” to be out first.

“The only good thing, or saving grace, was that it wasn’t the housemates that put me up,” he added. “It was an amazing experience, and I wouldn’t change anything that I did.”

Tonight’s episode also saw the housemates learn the results of the first shopping task. After checking out of Big Brother’s Coconut Eye Land Resort, it was revealed that the staff didn’t maintain the resort’s five-star rating and therefore failed the challenge.

The 51 fails included Marcello stealing watermelon from the all-inclusive buffet, Sarah insulting guests during the aquacise class and Lily falling asleep during the brunch service.

Later, the housemates took part in a circuit challenge in which they had to identify statements that connected each other.

After successfully completing the task, five of the housemates won a Chinese takeaway, with Lily, Khaled, Sarah, Hannah and Marcello tucking into the tasty meal.

To top off the evening, the housemates took to the runway for a dazzling drag show. A glammed-up Nathan became Diana Demure, while Dean introduced his alter ego Coco Damol.

Eagle-eyed viewers may also have noticed the first rule-break of the series after Lily and Daze discussed nominations in the hot tub. What punishment will Big Brother have in store for them?

Big Brother airs on ITV2 and ITVX from Sunday to Friday, followed each night by Big Brother: Late & Live.
