Biden FINALLY shows face in public, six days after dropping out of 2024 race as he walks toward Air Force One in Delaware

President Joe Biden was seen in public for the first time in six days on Tuesday as he left isolation in Delaware to return to the White House.

The 81-year-old has not showed his face since his bombshell announcement he was dropping out of the race on Sunday and sparked wild conspiracy theories with his absence.

The last time he made an appearance was last Wednesday – when he slowly exited Air Force One in Dover to go into isolation after being diagnosed with COVID. Only his voice was heard on a call into his old campaign office on Monday.

On Tuesday he emerged from his SUV with a mask, turned to the press and said he is ‘well’ and then slowly headed to the stairs of Air Force One to make the trip back to Washington D.C. for the first time since ending his 2024 bid.

Before Biden was seen in public, his physician announced the president has recovered from COVID.

‘The President’s symptoms have resolved. Over the course of his infection, he never manifested a fever, and his vital signs remained normal, to include pulse oximetry. His lungs remained clear. BINAX rapid antigen testing is negative,’ Dr. Kevin O’Connor said.

He will address the nation from the Oval Office on Wednesday evening about his decision to exit the presidential race.

‘Tomorrow evening at 8 PM ET, I will address the nation from the Oval Office on what lies ahead, and how I will finish the job for the American people,’ Biden wrote on X. 

The White House has announced several events with the president in the coming days after his absence led to conspiracy theories he was much sicker than the administration had announced.

The events are focused on his role as president. His campaign events have been canceled. 

The president will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Thursday.

He will go to Camp David for the weekend. 

And, on Monday, he will head to Austin, Texas, to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act during a visit to the LBJ Presidential Library.  This trip was originally last week and canceled in the wake of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.

Biden’s campaign activity is on hold, however. 

He’s canceled a scheduled fundraising trip to California and Colorado that was to take place at the end of the week, according to the Harris campaign. They will be rescheduled.

Biden has been at his beach house in Rehoboth since last Wednesday after he was diagnosised with COVID.

In the interium, he shocked the nation with his announcement he won’t seek a second term. He endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the party’s nominee.

Biden has not been seen publicly since July 17, but he called into his campaign office on Tuesday when Harris was there to meet with staff. The campaign has been renamed Harris for President. 

For weeks, since his disastrous June 26th debate with Trump, he had resisted calls from Democrats to exit the race. 

There have been questions about his absence. He hasn’t been seen – not even on photos posted on official social media accounts – in days.

The 81-year-old spoke in a scratchy voice to campaign staffers from his COVID isolation on Monday and told Harris: ‘I’m watching you kid’.

He pledged to still be involved in the reelection fight and said he would continue to hit the campaign trail as he spoke on a loudspeaker with his staffers who now work for Harris.

‘I know yesterday’s news is surprising and hard for you to hear, but it was the right thing to do,’ the president said. 

‘I know it’s hard because you poured your heart and soul into me, to help us win this thing, help me get this nomination, help me win the nomination and then go on to win the presidency,’ he continued.

Already there were signs that the campaign had moved on, with signage that read ‘Harris for President,’ ‘Kamala,’ and ‘Restore Roe’ hung on the walls of the office.

Democratic lawmakers, donors and grassroots supporters have coalesced around Harris, who would be the first woman and woman of color to be elected U.S. president.
