Britain’s Got Talent returned for another evening of entertainment tonight with many fans making the same complaint minutes into the programme. The ITV stage welcomed another round of hopefuls as they wrapped up this year’s auditions, with the live semi-finals starting tomorrow evening.
But as the acts started to perform, fans at home were distracted and pinpointed something amiss. Taking to Twitter (now known as X) they all shared the same complaint about head judge Simon Cowell.
They were seemingly gutted to see him back on the ITV talent show as last night’s episode ended on a cliffhanger, where he had “vanished”. The last act of the night saw Magicians Assemble claiming they had arrived from the future.
The performing team was made up of former Britain’s Got Talent stars Ben Hart, Colin Cloud, and Elizabeth The Haunting, who appeared in past editions of the series. They then performed tricks such as turning liquid into sand, before the substance began streaming onto the stage – and teenage magician and 2020 Britain’s Got Talent finalist Aidan McCann was pulled through to join the other illusionists.
Soon enough, Simon was invited up on stage to be a part of the act by Colin, who reassured him he was “completely safe” as he blindfolded him. Ben then threw a sandglass and Simon completely disappeared, with bits of confetti paper streams left in his place.
Simon didn’t make a return to the show before tonight’s episode was teased and the cliffhanger left one question on everyone’s mind – “Where is Simon?”
Taking to x to question what happened, one fan complained: “So where’s the end of the magic from yesterday #bgt.”
Another asked: “#BGT What about yesterday’s cliffhanger??”
A third said: “Can we please have the end of last night’s episode? Where did Simon go? #BGT.”
Someone else posted: “How did they get Simon back from last act #BGT.”
Meanwhile, a fifth said: “Simon’s back. I thought he disappeared last night #BGT”.
“So what happened last night after Simon disappeared, they just gonna leave that hanging? #bgt,” one fan echoed.
Britain’s Got Talent returns tomorrow night at 8pm on ITV and ITVX
