BGT fans issue same complaint about Amanda Holden’s appearance

Must read

Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden is never afraid to be fashion forward during the semi-finals of the long-running ITV show, and tonight proved no different.

The 53-year-old looked stunning in a floaty all-white ensemble, which boasted over-the-top sleeves as material wrapped around her petite frame.

While some viewers were left in awe over her striking outfit, which seemed in tune with the night’s opening performance from the West End cast of Frozen the Musical, others all issued the same complaint.

Many fans compared her attire to a children’s toy slinky, which was prominent in the 1980s and 1990s.

One viewer penned: “Nice to see Amanda wearing her old slinky #BGT.”

Keith quipped: “Amanda is wearing a slinky. I wonder if she falls down stairs one step at a time. #bgt.”

Alice asked: “What the hell is Amanda wearing it’s hideous #BGT.” Another viewer added: “Amanda wearing a meringue? #BGT.”

Despite the backlash, one fan penned: “I do like Amanda’s dress. Must be quite hard to manoeuvre through doors though.”

Another said: “Amanda’s dress is a work of art…#britainsgottalent.”

The acts to make it through the first semi-final for 2024 include opera singer Innocent Masuku and Sslaubi Performance Troupe who are Ant and Dec’s golden buzzer act.

Gambling.com’s James Leyfield put together odds and analysis on who will claim victory this year.

Innocent, from South Africa, was a 22/1 chance ahead of Monday’s live semi-final, but his odds have been slashed to the 11/4 favourite to win after cruising through to Sunday’s grand finale.

James shared ahead of Tuesday’s live show: “The latest Golden Buzzer recipients, Haribow, will perform again on Tuesday night’s second semi of the week, and they will go into the episode as the 10/3 second favourites, while musical couple Denise and Stefan are the 7/2 third favourites.”

The other golden buzzer acts, Sydnie Christmas (5/1), Cyberagent Legit (10/1), and Phoenix Boys (22/1), and 40/1 shot Nabe will perform later in the week.

James added: “And two 10/1 chances, Alex Mitchell and Mike Woodhams, will also be back to bid for a final place.”

Britain’s Got Talent continues at 8pm tomorrow night on ITV1 and ITVX.
