Best jumpsuits for petite women: Where to buy jumpsuits with the perfect fit

Must read

AS a petite person, finding a jumpsuit that fits both the waist and legs is like finding gold dust.

I’m just under 5’2 and despite owning countless halter tops and dresses, I only own two jumpsuits in my wardrobe as it is the hardest clothing item to shop for.

I love jumpsuits and find them the perfect alternative to dresses, but they’re often too long or have a waistband that sits too high on the torso.

Although the best solution is to get a pair tailored, it’s not the most cost-effective, so when I do find one that fits, I immediately get it in another colour.

Throughout my countless hours of online shopping, I’ve learned to shop for high-waisted jumpsuits with a wide-leg silhouette as they elongate the legs and give the illusion of height, which I desperately need.

Jumpsuits for petite frames may be slightly more tailored around the leg, have shorter length arms and legs to fit petite shoppers perfectly, or feature a tie waist belt to cinch in the frame, but also hoist up the leg length.

While jumpsuits may be difficult to shop to find the perfect fit, there is a selection of trusted retailers to shop for the best jumpsuits for petite women.

M&S, Boden, Nobody’s Child and River Island are some of the brands you can rely on to shop for on-trend pieces for petite women.

Why wear a jumpsuit?

Jumpsuits are a godsend for those days you want an elevated look, fuss-free styling, and an effortless aesthetic, as you simply slip into the jumpsuit, and then pair it with accessories.

Jumpsuits allow for creativity around styling.

Not only can you pair with trainers, flat sandals or heels, but you can also get creative in how you wear the jumpsuit itself.

Long sleeves can be rolled up, or pulled up to the elbows, the same for the ankles, the collar lifted, fully buttoned up to the neck or unzipped slightly, or cinched in with a belt.

Jumpsuits also make great layering pieces too.

In the winter I wear a roll neck underneath for extra warmth, or layer a round neck jumper over the top, which resembles a two-piece set.
